Profiling Gubernatorial Aspirants of Kaduna State: COMRADE SHEHU SANI
The fearless, intelligent, and articulate human rights and good governance crusader is known locally, nationally and internationally. He was one of those incarcerated by the cruel and brutal junta of Gen .Abacha for plotting to oust his government. It was later confirmed that the whole show was hoax. Comrade Sani served in the same prison cell with President Mathew Olusegun Obasanjo.
Comrade Sani is popular with the youths in the state. His school mates from Southern Kaduna and those who worked with him in the civil rights movement are already saturating the political atmosphere of Southern Kaduna with his talks. Another added advantage the comrade enjoy is, his wife is from Southern Kaduna.
Comrade served in some national committees during Obasanjo’s regime and ran commentaries in many national and international issues. He was nominated by President Goodluck as a member of Boko Haram Amnesty committee, but he declined. Sani has published books in many fields of Human endeavor.
Comrade Sani tried picking a ticket for Kaduna Central Senatorial District in CPC in 2011 without success. Since then, he has gone to the grassroot setting up structures in preparation for his Gubernatorial race! And has organised successful and well attended interactive sessions with youths and supporters across the 23 Local Governments areas if the state.His tickers and a few campaign paraphernalia are strategically paste in many cars, offices and gates of homes.
He is contesting under the opposition platform of APC. We wish the good comrade luck and God’s guidance in his bid to occupy Sir Kashim Ibrahim House Kaduna. Ride on, comrade.
